Clients come to me to address a wide range of concerns from general anxiety or depression, to difficult life events such as redundancy or bereavement.
Whatever the presenting concern, I work from the premise that my clients are experts on themselves; I aim to provide a confidential, safe space for individuals to reflect on their goals and explore areas that they want to address in order for them to make sense of the past and move forward in life in a more fulfilling way.
I am a registered member with the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework, this ensures a standard of best practice which includes regular supervision and training.
I welcome my private clients to my comfortable and quiet consulting room in Langton Green, close to Tunbridge Wells. There is a regular bus service from Tunbridge Wells, and also plenty of parking directly outside.
Research has shown that the alliance of the counsellor and client is one of the most important factors in a successful counselling relationship, I therefore offer a free initial session for us to meet and discuss your needs and expectations, and during this time we can decide together the best way forward.
Starting counselling sometimes takes immense courage. I am always sensitive to the fact that for many this will be a new experience, and take as much time as is needed to address any concerns you may have, whether they are logistical or emotional.
